DESCRIPTION:

mSpeed 8 Thunderbolt 3 RAID.

mSpeed features eight removable drive bays that support either 2.5”/3.5” SAS II or SATA III 6 Gb/s hard drives or SSDs. Simply add your own hard drives or SSDs or a combination of both. When SSDs are installed, it is possible to achieve data transfer rates of up to 2600 MB/s. Or purchase mSpeed 8 with factory installed enterprise-class hard drives.

mSpeed 8 supports a variety of hardware-controlled RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 & JBOD. The dedicated dual-core,1.2GHz RAID-on-Chip processor with 2GB of DDR3 RAM offloads RAID processing from the host system ensuring stable and high-performance data transfers. Setting up a RAID set is easy using the included mLogic RAID Manager.

mSpeed 8 is equipped with a SAS expander port and two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports that enables daisy-chaining of up to six Thunderbolt devices. The unit also supports dual 4K monitors or a single 5K monitor.

mSpeed is bundled with a full version of both Hedge and KYNO software.

Hedge backup software for filmmakers is a powerful macOS & Windows app that makes multiple backups of your footage fast and easy.
